01-Sep-2009 : 3-IN-ONE BACKS THE LBVCR

The London to Brighton Veteran Car Run (LBVCR) has attracted the support of another world famous brand with lubricants specialist 3-IN-ONE joining the comprehensive list of corporate sponsors backing the world's longest running motoring event.  The original 3-IN-ONE drip oil was first produced in 1894, making the brand two years older than the event it will now support from 2009.

As part of their support for the 2009 London to Brighton Veteran Car Run, 3-IN-ONE is also helping seasoned veteran car owner Ron Mellowship to restore his 1896 Bergmann Orient Express to its former glory by providing him with products to help him rebuild his ‘barn find of the century' which was discovered by the late Peter Moffat. He has been using the whole range of 3-IN-ONE products during the intricate restoration of his very rare veteran car, providing real firsthand experience and endorsement of the products, the result of which can be seen on the run in November as Ron takes the start in Hyde Park.  “I'm really looking forward to the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run this November which will be the culmination of all the hard work in restoring it to running condition,” said Ron Mellowship. “Having 3-IN-ONE onboard has been a tremendous benefit and they have certainly provided solutions to some very unique problems during this restoration project.”

3-IN-ONE Brand Manager, Sue Walker, said of the sponsorship “We are delighted to have been invited to join this prestigious event  and we are really looking forward to it. 3-IN-ONE has been providing lubrication solutions since 1894 and the LBVCR provides us with an excellent platform to display our 3-IN-ONE range of products and celebrate our brand heritage”.

LBVCR Event Director Roger Etcell said “We are extremely pleased to have 3-IN-ONE joining us on the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run.  Many of the vehicles taking part in the event used 3-IN-ONE when they were first built and still do over a century later. 3-IN-ONE joins an ever growing list of sponsors led by Tindle Newspapers and I take the opportunity to thank them all for their continued support.”
