31-Mar-2010 : BONHAMS STEP-UP TO JOINT TITLE SPONSORSHIP
Bonhams, one of the world's oldest and largest auctioneers of fine art, antiques and collectors’ items, has extended its partnership agreement with the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run (LBVCR) for a further five years and becomes joint title sponsor for the world’s longest running motoring event alongside stalwart supporter Tindle Newspapers. “We are extremely pleased to announce our continued and increased involvement with the LBVCR as joint title sponsors,” said Robert Brooks, the Chairman of Bonhams. “We have supported the Run in a number of ways for over 25 years, the last six of which seeing the addition of the Bonhams auction. Since then, the numbers of participants and the overall profile of the LBVCR have grown extensively year on year. As an active participant it is my favourite annual motoring event and we are looking forward to a long and rewarding partnership with the LBVCR for many years to come.” “It is great news to have Bonhams renew its partnership and to increase the support for the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run by becoming the joint title sponsor alongside one of our other long term supporters Tindle Newspapers,” said Event Director Roger Etcell. “In 2004 when the event was extended to three days, Bonhams was the first of a new group of partners to get behind the new look LBVCR. Bonhams renewed this initial agreement in 2006 and have again increased their involvement for another five years and this is an extremely positive indication that the new event format, introduced in 2004, is the right one.”
