26-Feb-2010 : ENTRIES FOR 2010 LBVCR OPEN NOW!
After another successful event in 2009 which saw entry numbers increase for the sixth year running, Motion Works, the organisers of the 2010 London to Brighton Veteran Car Run (LBVCR), will start accepting entries for the world’s longest running motoring event on Monday 1 March. Last year the maximum entry of 550 pre 1905 vehicles was reached for the second year running, three months before the event got underway in November and further entries were placed on a reserve list for the second time in the events history. As for the 2009 event, the opening entry date for the 2010 Run, which will take place on Sunday 7 November, has been brought forward from its previous April date to allow time for the increasing International entries, approx 25%, to plan their veteran vehicle shipping and travel arrangements. “As in 2008, the 2009 LBVCR received an increase in the number of new entries,” said Event Director Roger Etcell. “Despite the world economic problems the demand was, once again, phenomenal, exceeding the 550 maximum very early.. We started receiving enquiries about places on the 2010 Run immediately after last year’s event and I would urge all eligible vehicle owners to submit their entry forms as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.” Participants of Runs since 2004 will receive Fast Track Entry forms automatically. Other entrants can download a New Entry form from the LBVCR website HERE or contact the Event Entries Manager Karen Cunningham on +44(0)1327 856 024 or email karen@motion-works.co.uk
