Passenger Rides on 2008 Event to be Auctioned this Thursday on BBC Radio 2

One lucky person and their guest will be joining the 2008 London to Brighton Veteran Car Run next year and helping to raise millions of pounds for BBC's Children in Need.  Sir Terry Wogan will be holding a 'Things That Money Can't Buy' auction on his Radio 2 Breakfast Show between 8 - 9am this week, with the LBVCR passenger rides being auctioned on Thursday 15 November .

As the guest of The Royal Automobile Club, the successful bidder and their guest will be joining the other participants in the world's longest running motoring event, which is watched by over 500,000 spectators along the 60-mile route between London's Hyde Park and Madeira Drive on Brighton's seafront.  They will also be joined by Radio 2 traffic reporter Sally Boazman (aka Sally Traffic) for the trip in one of the 500 pre 1905 veteran cars on Sunday 2 November 2008.  The prize also includes refreshments along the route and in the VIP hospitality alongside the traditional finish line in Brighton.

Other ‘Money Can't Buy' items going under the hammer to raise money for Children in Need are -
• An ice-skating lesson with Torvill and Dean
• Be the guest of Bernie Ecclestone at the 2008 British Grand Prix at Silverstone
