Souvenir DVD and Television coverage for 2004 London to Brighton Veteran Car Run.
Tuesday 23 November 2004 - For the first time in many years the annual London to Brighton Veteran Car Run, recently held on Sunday 7th November, was extensively filmed for television and a souvenir DVD and Video.
All 3-days of the new-look and new-format event were under the scrutiny of the cameras and editorial team of automotive television specialist Hay Fisher Productions on behalf of the event owners, The Royal Automobile Club. The coverage was extensive from the LBVCR Auction at Bonhams on the Friday, to the Saturday LBVCR Concours in Pall Mall followed by the 60 mile Sunday Run with extensive fixed and on-board mounted cameras in action at different points along the famous route. Additional footage was also achieved by a unique feature where handheld cameras were provided to passengers on a number of pre-selected Veteran cars.
469 pre 1905 Veteran Cars entered this year's event with 375 completing the 60 mile route from Hyde Park in central London to the Sussex seaside resort of Brighton via much of the popular A23 route. 131 different marques of cars participated with varying forms of power including Steam and Electric with 80 international entrants coming from; Argentina, Australia, Hong Kong, South Africa, USA and across Europe.
The 75 minute souvenir DVD provides a comprehensive record of this unique motoring occasion and is available for just �15.00 plus �2.00 UK (�4.00 overseas) post/packing from Monday 6th December.
